Commercial Manager Flexible Salary probably £40-50K Our client, part of a major group, is looking to appoint a
Commercial Manager, a key role within its defence-focused
electronic design and manufacturing business. They have a team of highly skilled electronic, software
and mechanical design engineers providing turn-key design and manufacturing
services to the defence, aerospace, nuclear,
medical and offshore sectors. The Commercial Manager is critical to the
Company's commercial activities and ongoing success in these demanding
industries. Working closely with the sales and marketing team to help optimise their competitive edge and commercial success,
the Commercial Manager is expected to have specific experience in managing
the bid process, ideally in the electronics and/or defence
and related industries. Experience of job-costing in a technical industry is
essential. Duties include: o Preparation of quotations, proposals, bids and tenders o Ensuring compliance with all bid-process requirements
and contractual requirements o Management of bid and tender documentation o Negotiation of contractual terms and conditions o Scrutiny of received contracts and orders to understand
and communicate contractual obligations,ongoing
throughout the project until completion and delivery o Support to the Sales and Marketing team o Monitoring of the sales pipe-line Assisted by technical staff, the sales team and the
management team, the Commercial Manager is expected to produce polished,
technical and commercial proposals, and must be IT literate.
